It's been a week since I weighed myself - for me that's insane. I usually weight myself at least every other day if not every day (or more than once a day). But I've being trying to not weight myself so often because it usually depresses me.
So this morning I was 48.9kg (107.6lbs) - so a loss of 1.45kg (3.2lbs) in a week. I should be happy with that - after all, I haven't exercised and Tuesday I actually ate a hamburger (granted, it was basically the only thing I ate all day - but still). I guess I have just read about people losing so much weight on duromine (acxion) that I expected more. I think it's more that I am worried I won't maintain that level of weight loss.
But in the last few days I've only been taking 1 Acxion a day (originally I was taking 1.5 - 2) because I was getting concerned with how my chest was feeling when I did anything physical at all (like walking up a flight of stairs). So I've been eating a bit more. Still not much though.
Will update later with my food intake for the last few days.
In other news, I'm really tired today, and depressed - that's to do with stuff happening at work.
Have to go to dinner with a friend tomorrow night - Japanese, so if I can avoid rice that won't be too bad.

First thoughts on Acxion
So I've been taking Acxion for a few days now, and so far I would say it definitely works.
Appetite: My appetite has definitely been reduced. I have always been a person that would eat small meals a number of times a day - (I had to have snacks between breakfast/lunch, lunch/dinner). In the few days I've been taking Acxion, I haven't been having breakfast, having a small lunch, and then not being hungry until dinner. I still have to be careful of how much I eat at night - probably because by that point the Acxion has worn off.
Side effects: It definitely has a stimulant effect. I don't think it is making my resting pulse that much faster, but I find anytime I do anything physical (e.g. even walking up a flight of stairs), my heart rate goes much higher than it would normally. So I will have to keep an eye on this.
Nothing else major in terms of side effects. I'm more thirsty than usual, and think I may be sweating a bit more than usual.

Acxion
Part
of the reason I started this blog was that I received Acxion earlier this week and
wanted to chronicle its effectiveness (or lack thereof). Acxion is the Mexican form of Phentermine/Duromine.
I
was so relieved when it arrived because:
- I hope it actually works.
- I was worried it would be seized by customs. (One of the reasons this blog will remain anonymous).
But
it is absolutely stupid for me to be taking this. Why?
- Without giving details of where I purchased it, I am taking a leap of faith that it is actually what it says it is.
- One of the side effects is a racing pulse. I already have a very fast pulse (it usually sits around 100 bpm) which is partly due to another medication I’m taking. I have a referral to a cardiologist but I haven’t made an appointment yet.
I
do not recommend you take this (or any other medication) unless it is prescribed
by a doctor.
A bit of an intro
In
2009 I lost 21.3kg (46.5lbs). I went
from 68.8kg (151lbs) and a BMI of 30.58 (obese) to 47.5kg (104.5lbs) and a BMI
of 21.11.
For
over the 2 years I’ve been trying to lose more weight, but have yo-yoed – and
am now 50.35kg (110.8lbs) – although I
know my BMI is “healthy” (22.4) I still am FAT.
I still have a high body fat percentage and to put it bluntly, my body
disgusts me at the moment.
My
goal is a BMI of 17.5 and then I will re-evaluate. I have a tiny build so I don’t think this is
that low for me.
Since
I’ve been trying for over the last 2 years without success, I’m ready to do
whatever it takes. I AM NOT RECOMMENDING
you doing anything I do in this blog.
I’ll
be recording my experience on Acxion (more on that in my next post), my weight,
measurements, and food intake/exercise.
I will also post progress pics along the way.
