Goals

I am going overseas at the start of July for 2 weeks.  First part of the trip is for work, but then I am having a week in Hong Kong which is mainly a holiday.  So that is really my "deadline" to lose weight. A few reasons - I want to buy clothes in Hong Kong and am thinking of having some tailored, so I want to be at the weight I'm planning on staying at; everyone (well almost everyone) in Hong Kong is tiny so I always feel big when I am there; I am sick of always looking disgusting in holiday photos.

(I am then also going to the US in August but I really want to get down to my goal weight by July and then can focus on maintaining it, or if I put on a bit of weight whilst overseas, lose it again before going to the US).

So, that gives me (as of yesterday) 2 months.

On 1 May 2012 I was 48.5kg (106.7lbs).

My goal weight (at least my goal at the moment) is between 38kg - 39.5kg.  (Basically 83.5-87lbs).  That would give me a BMI of between 16.88 and 17.55.

So:

Goal: 38 - 39.5kg (83.5 - 87lbs)

Need to lose: 9 - 10.5 kg (20 - 23lbs)

Time to lose: 61 days.  (8 weeks and 5 days / 2 months)

Weight to lose:
Per 3 days: Approx 0.5kg (1.1lbs)
Per week: Approx 1 - 1.2kg (2.3 - 2.65lbs)
Per month: 4.5 - 5.25kg (9.9 - 11.55lbs)

Weight update and Acxion

I've been a bit slack in blogging here over the last few days (until my last post that is) - partly because I stupidly forgot the e-mail account I had associated with this blog.  (Since I want to keep it anonymous, I'm not exactly going to use my regular e-mail).

So I haven't been keeping track of my food as much as I should have been.

My weight has still be going down.  Yesterday (Tuesday 1 May) (I think I need to change the time settings on this blog as I'm in Australia so we are GMT+10) I was 48.5kg, so 106.7lbs.  Not great considering last Thursday I was 48.9kg (107.6lbs), that is only a loss of 0.9lbs in 5 days.  NOT GOOD ENOUGH. I thought I would be losing a lot more weight on Acxion.

I basically am not hungry when I take it.  Yes, I'm still eating, but no where near as much as I would be normally.  I am a 'snacker' - I would always eat small portions but would always eat consistently throughout the day.  Now I'm still eating pretty small portions but I'm not really snacking.  So I thought my weight would be going down more.

However, I'm not exercising, which is partly because I've been so insanely busy at work (another reason I actually wouldn't care if the Acxion caused insomnia - see my last post about my sleeping issues), but also because the Acxion does seem to speed up my heart rate.  So part of me is like - well is there any point in taking it if I can't exercise on it?  How many calories am I "saving" per day (by not eating) versus how many I could be using if I was exercising?

And I'm already starting to sightly panic about what will happen when I run out, and am wondering whether to try to buy more.

Sleeping

I slept in so late today.

I do have a full-time job (actually I have a full-time and a part-time job), but the hours are pretty flexible, so lately I've been going in late and working late, so that in itself isn't a big deal. But I find it impossible to get up at a reasonable hour any more.  I've been staying up much later, which may be the Acxion - if it is that I wish it would just cause lack of need to sleep! (What I mean is I'm going to bed very late but still sleeping 8+ hours).

There must be something wrong with the "sleep" part of my body.  Late last year I was diagnosed with "ideopathic hypersomnalence" which is a very fancy way of saying "I'm tired all the time and they can't work out an underlying cause".  I've had multiple sleep tests that do show I'm "excessively tired" and I'm now take Dexamphetamine (all completely legal and prescribed, but it is one of the reasons it is stupid for me to be taking Acxion at the same time).

But seriously - who takes amphetamines + diet pills with phentermine + drinks a ton of diet coke each day, and still sleeps 8+ hours???
